Android Developers Blog: Android 2.2 SDK refresh

As you may have noticed, the source code for Android 2.2, which we call Froyo, has been released. The Android 2.2 SDK that was released at Google I/O contained a preview of the Froyo system image and today, we are releasing an update to bring it into sync with the system image pushed to Nexus One devices.I encourage all developers to use the SDK manager to update to this version.

Getting Started with Android Development via itscodingtime.com

I’ve taken the plunge into Android development.

Coming from the .NET world and having programmed Java a very long time ago (back in 1995, which as I recall was right about when the language first came out), I was anxious—and a bit apprehensive—about where Java stood as well as how far the tools had progressed in the fifteen or so years since I last attempted to write my first Java program.
